Today is Thursday and we set out for Chatsworth which is a historic stately home owned by the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire who still occupy part of the home. The gardens are gorgeous, but we had a day of rain, so did most of our garden watching thru the windows. the house is full of priceless art and artifacts.

This is the dining room where Queen Victoria dined at the age of 13.

We also visited chesterfield, the church with the crooked steeple. It is a beautiful little village!

WE THEN STOPPED FOR A PUB LUNCH IN PILLSLEY WHERE WE ENJOYED A WONDERFUL LUNCH OF YORKSHIRE PUDDING AND ROAST AND FISH AND CHIPS AND MUSHY PEAS! BIG DISHES IN ENGLAND

LAST STOP OF THE DAY, BAKEWELL, WHERE WE PURCHASED SOME FAMOUS BAKEWELL PUDDING! YUM! WE LEAVE FOR LONDON TOMORROW AM, SO STAY TUNED!!
